Mary Lou Saylor

A memorial service celebrating the life of Mary Lou Saylor, 85, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Humphreys officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, one hour prior to the memorial service on Saturday, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Mary Lou was born in Newark, Ohio on April 7, 1938. She passed away at her residence on February 23, 2024. Mary Lou was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Newark. She was a devoted homemaker to her family and she enjoyed flower gardening and was an avid reader. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, April M. and Joe Frazee; grandchildren, Amber (Cody) Jones, Sasha (Jonathan) Knowles, Paige Estep and Justin (Charlie) Frazee; great grandchildren, Dylan Knowles, Lana Thatcher-Knowles, Evelyn Knowles and Wynter Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Davey Saylor in 2021; daughter, Edie Thatcher in 2004; and many brothers and sisters. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary Lou to Hospice of Central Ohio. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Hospice of Central Ohio, especially Gayle, Shelly, Victoria, Pastor Brian and Rachel, for all of the love and support that was provided to Mary Lou during her illness.
