Mary Louise (Martin) Mowrey passed peacefully at her home at age 92 on August 10, 2017. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, farmer, teacher, faithful Christian and friend. Born to Harold and Elta Mae (Emswiler) Martin on July 21, 1925, Mary Louise lived in Hebron until she married that darn Dale and they resided in Etna and Granville. They were married 51 years. She is survived by five children, Craig (Jaynie Smith) of Hollywood, Florida, Bucky (Jeri) of Newark, Kris (Dennis Hoerter) of West Hollywood, California, Lisa of Siesta Key, Florida and Mindy Shaffer (David) of Pataskala; eight grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren! Mary Louise taught elementary school for thirty years in Granville, Pataskala and Kirkersville. She also taught piano over the years. She was a member of Bible Mission Baptist and later the Jersey Baptist Church.Mary Louise underlined the word JOY any time she came across it in her King James version of the Bible. Open her Bible and youll see Joy. Weezy made on average one thousand zillion baby quilts a year and donated them via Buckys mission work in Guatemala. She loved jig-saw puzzles, playing Bananagrams and back in the day square-danced and listened to Perry Como. She enjoyed sending greeting cards and letters and signed all of her letters to her kids: Have Fun! Love, Mom.She will be sorely missed as she touched the lives of so many, many people and will continue to do so through her inspirational example of loving life and having fun.
