Mary M. Offenbaker

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mary M. Offenbaker, age 93, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Rocky Fork Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.Mary was born June 12, 1923 in Licking County, Ohio. She passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio).Mary was a homemaker and a life member of the Ancient Order of the Druids in Newark. She enjoyed doting on her grandchildren.She is survived by a son, Ronald Offenbaker; and daughter, Debra Townsend; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Offenbaker; mother and step-father, Bessie May (Barcus) and Matthew Clark; father, Stanton Hupp; five children, Terry Hupp, Karen Gerhart, Kevin Cannon, Jennifer Wilson and Mary Ann Sherrald; two brothers, Harold Hupp and Edward Hupp; and two sisters, Catherine Shoults and Edna McPeek.Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Mary and her family.
