Mary Martha Snyder

Mary Martha Snyder, age 75, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 6, 2021 at her home. Mary was born December 30, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to the late John William and Minnie Opal (Joy) Sloan.

Mary retired from Big Lots on Broad Street in Columbus where she had been employed as a clerk for many years. She loved to work and visit with people. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need.

She is survived by her niece, Shirley Perrine of Newark; nephews, Roger (Nelma) Sloan of Columbus, John (Margo) Sloan of Phoenix, Arizona, Steve Sloan of Etna and Mike Sloan of St. Petersburg, Florida; great-nieces and nephews; and a friend, Frank Ward of Columbus.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Butch Snyder.

Private inurnment will take place at a later date in Sunset Cemetery in Columbus.
