Mary Ann Thorp

Graveside funeral services, celebrating the life of Mary Ann Thorp, 69, of Hebron, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 30, 2021 in the Licking Cemetery, Hebron, with Pastor Brian Harkness as celebrant. The family will receive friends at the grave Friday from 10:00 am until time of services at 11:00.

Mary Ann passed away at her home on Monday evening, April 26, 2021. She was born in Newark on June 15, 1951 the daughter of the late Harold and H. Jean (Weekley) Davis. She was a graduate of Lakewood High School, class of 1969. She was a bus driver in the Lakewood School System for 28 years.

Mary Ann enjoyed gardening and flowers, shopping and weather watching. Her grandchildren were the love of her life and she enjoyed every moment with them.  She also loved the beach, warm weather and pool time.  Mary Ann and Don would have celebrated their 50 ^th anniversary in July of this year.

She is survived by her loving family: husband Don Thorp, whom she married in July of 1971, her three children Jerry Thorp, Tara (Tim) McMillen and Kira Weaver; her sister Janet (Rob) Springer, brother Joe Davis; grandchildren LaShelle, Blaydan, Jeyhdon, Cole, Craig, Lukas, and Lex.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson Liam Weaver in 2012.

The family prefers that expressions of sympathy in the form of memorial contributions be directed to Lakewood H.S. Baseball program 9331 Lancer Rd., Hebron, Ohio 43025
