Mary Jeannette Weaver

December 4, 1947 — December 19, 2020

Mary Jeannette Weaver, 73, of Pataskala, was received into the loving arms of her Savior on December 19, 2020, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Eaton, Ohio on December 4, 1947 to the late Raymond and Carmen (Fenner) Crouse. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Prior to retirement, she was an accounts payable and asset specialist with Contract Lumber for 17 years. Mary was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. She grew up in southern Ohio on the farm, working with horses in the family’s sawmill and logging business. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, especially hummingbirds and Christmas. She also enjoyed traveling around the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Middle East. She was an excellent seamstress and devoted time to crocheting, providing gifts to many. Mary loved and served Christ and supported missionary work here and abroad. Most important, was the time she spent with her loving children, especially doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her loving husband of nearly 54 years, Owen R. Weaver, whom she married December 31, 1966; children, Jarvis D. (Anita) Weaver, Cosetta M. (Jonathan) Priest, Tabitha M. (Norman) Nester and Darcey W. (Denise M.) Weaver; sister, Judy (Steve) Harper; brothers, Joe (Corene) Crouse, Justin Crouse and Jerome Crouse; 13 beloved grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janey Crouse; and brothers, Jim Crouse, John Crouse, Jeffrey Crouse and Jay Crouse. Mary shared her love for Christ with all and encouraged them in their walk. She is now swimming in the River of Life, living in the New Jerusalem, as in accordance with Revelation 3:12 and 22:1. A private memorial service was held for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary to Foundation For Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058-0430.
