A funeral service, celebrating the life of Mary Leona Wilson, 92, of Hebron, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014 in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 285 E Main St. in Kirkersville, with Pastor Brian Harkness as celebrant. Burial with full military honors will follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester.Mary passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday afternoon, March 20, 2014, with her family at her side. She was born February 17, 1922 in Union, New York, the daughter of the late Grant Rowe and Minnie L. (Twining) West. Mary was a veteran of the US Army Wacs, serving her country during WWII. She was a retired employee of the State of Ohio.Mary was an active member of the Hebron New Life U.M. Church. She lived for many years in the Lithopolis area. She is survived by her loving family: Stephen Wilson of Hebron, Bruce (Sue) Wilson of Groveport, Duane (Debbie) Wilson of Lithopolis, Donna Wilson of Lockville and Roberta Rutherford of Canal Winchester; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild, along with her beloved nieces and nephews.Mary was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Dutch Wilson in 1973 and her son Boyd Wilson in 1985.The family will receive friends on Monday from Noon until the time of funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, where an on-line guest register and video tribute are available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.comMemorials may be directed to the building fund at Hebron New Life United Methodist Church, PO Box 459, Hebron, Ohio 43025.Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, Kirkersville, is honored to care for the Wilson family.
