Maryetta Hoppel Fry

A funeral service celebrating the life of Maryetta Hoppel Fry, 82, of Thornville, will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Lynn officiating.  Burial will follow at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery. Maryetta was born in Lancaster, Ohio on December 21, 1935 to the late Ellis and Etta (Eby) Raab.  She passed away on August 3, 2018 at Mt. Carmel East after a courageous battle with MDS. She graduated from Millersport High School, Class of 1953.  She was employed several years at Millersport Bank, then chose to be a homemaker as her most important job.  Maryetta was an avid gardener, lover of all winged things, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, right up to the end. Survivors include her children, Debbie (David) Makarius, David (Connie) Hoppel and Patty (Randy) Comisford; brothers, Gene (Beth) Raab and Wayne (Marie) Raab; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Maynard Hoppel and John “Andy” Fry; brother, Donald Raab; and sisters, Frances Wine and Christina Eskew. Friends may call at the funeral home, 56 S.
