Matthew Alan Bauman

A gathering of family and friends will be held to honor Matthew Alan Bauman, from 1-3 PM Saturday, January 13th 2024, at Hoskinson Funeral Home, 285 E. Main Street, Kirkersville, Ohio 43033. At Matt's request, please dress casual and wear your jeans.

Matt, age 65 of Heath, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024.  He was born April 12, 1958, in Newark, Ohio.  He was a 1976 graduate of Heath High School and JVS where he was in the Auto Technician program.  After high school Matt began his career at Walker and Battat Ford in 1976.  He retired after 39 years.

He was a member of the Elks of Newark and Bow Club.  Matt was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.  He loved golf, bonfires and growing tomatoes. Matt was great barterer and could often be found about town helping others.

He is preceded in death by his father, Mike Bauman and brother, Manual.

Matt is survived by his mother, Sue (Keller) Bauman; wife of 9 years, Donna M. Mossor-Bauman; son, Clark (Miranda) Bauman; step-son, Joshua Gentile; brothers, Mark (Cheryl), Monte (Kitty), Miles (Christy); 7 nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and great nephews; and his faithful labrador, Bella.
