A funeral service, celebrating the life of Maxine M. Hite, 97, of Hilliard, Florida; formerly of Pataskala, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018, in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor John Krumm as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Kirkersville Cemetery. Maxine died Wednesday morning, May 23, 2018, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Liberty, Indiana, on August 31, 1920, the daughter of the late Emerson C and Emma M. (Quick) Pentecost. She was a lifelong homemaker. She attended the Hebron Primitive Baptist Church. She was living in Florida with her daughter these past years. She is survived by her loving family: daughter Darbara Hite, son Gailen Hite, grandsons Randell Minor, Kendell Wilkinson, Kevin Wilkinson, Jacob Hite, Marshall Hite; 9 great-grandchildren, her brother Maurice Pentecost, sister-in-law Elmira (Mrs. Henry) Pentecost, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Hite, and her eight siblings. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville. The family prefers that memorial contributions in her memory be directed to the Licking Primitive Baptist Church, C/O Chirs Baker, 4685 Northridge Road, Alexandria, Ohio 43001.
