A memorial service celebrating the life of Melanie Eileen Wyeth, age 54, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, where the family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Inurnment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.Melanie was born November 16, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland to Mary Elaine (Rode) Moore of Heath and the late Sherman Stanley Moore. She passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville following a courageous two time battle with breast cancer. It was Melanies wish to be cremated so that her cancer could be stopped once and for all.Melanie attended Licking Valley High School. She enjoyed going to auctions and yard sales and socializing on Facebook. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and loved her Beagle puppies.In addition to her mother, Mary, she is survived by her son, David L. Davey (Alanoud) Wyeth, Jr. of Kuwait; daughter, Crystal Rowland of Hanover; five grandchildren, Sara Ruby Wyeth, Adam Lee Wyeth, Samantha Renee Coulter, Mackenzie Lewis, Emma Cunningham and one grandson on the way; brothers, Sherwood Stanley Stan Moore, Steven Robert Moore, Stewart Russell Moore (Diane Phelps) and Mark Edward Moore (Pauline Parks), all of Newark; mother-in-law, Helen (David) Baughman of Heath; several nieces and nephews; special cousins, Vicky Lynn Gorley and Mary Lou Shank, both of Newark; her companion, Mike Romano of Newark; and many Facebook friends.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Wyeth, Sr.A fundraiser has been set up through GoFundMe.com athttp://dm2.gofund.me/7ye6ufcd8.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Melanie and her family.
