Melissa Sue Williams

A memorial visitation, celebrating the life of Melissa Sue Williams, 43, of Newark, will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 179 Granville Street, Newark. Melissa was born in Newark, Ohio on July 16, 1978 to Timothy Lee Williams and the late Cindy L. (Griffith) Williams. She passed away on March 3, 2022. Melissa enjoyed fishing, hiking, and was an animal lover. Most important was the time she spent with her loving family and friends. In addition to her father, survivors include her children, Brenton Williams, Lashaya Williams, Jason “JB” Berger and Alexis Berger; siblings, Joshua (Amanda) Galigher, Joey Williams, Kaylee Williams and Miranda Bucher; grandsons, Javion and one on the way; paternal grandfather, Michael Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Liliana; maternal grandparents, Nancy and Carl Griffith; and paternal grandmother, Marcella Williams.
