Melvin Shane Stevenson

Shane Stevenson, 77, of Thornville, passed away April 10, 2024 in Newark following an extended illness. He was born April 4, 1947 in Columbus, the son of the late Ralph E and Nada (Jackson) Stevenson. He served honorably in the US Army in Vietnam. Shane was a “car guy”, and worked as foreman at Roush Honda Autobody in Westerville for many years. He is survived by his loving family: his wife Donna (Skokal) whom he married on November 26, 1986; his sons: Michael (Holly), Kevin, Timothy (Lis) and Zachary (Michelle); his grandchildren Brooklyn, Alex, Nicholas, Kaedyn, Christian, Luiza, Stella and Lydia; great-grandson Ashton; along with his brother Phil. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2 brothers and a sister. Honoring Shane’s wishes, a private graveside service with full military honors by the Licking County Joint Veterans Alliance will be held in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown and a celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Memorials in Shane’s honor may be made to your favorite charity. No flowers, please.
