Michael Eugene Lee

A graveside funeral service, celebrating the life of Michael Eugene Lee, 71, of Newark, will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, where military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veteran’s Alliance. The celebration of life service will continue after the graveside service at the American Legion Post #85, 85 S. 6th Street, Newark. Michael was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 13, 1952 to the late Donald Eugene and Mary (Lee) Lee. He passed away at Select Specialty Hospital on November 16, 2024. Michael was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, along with an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Most important was the time he spent with his loving family and friends. Survivors include his children, Brett (Billie) Slaughter, Quentin Lee, Cody Lee, and Chase Lee; sisters, Margie Moore, Pamela Skinner and Valerie Hale; brothers, Donald (Rhonda) Lee, Scott (Rose) Lee, James Lee, Stevie Black, Delbert Saunders, Timmy Saunders and Terry Saunders; grandchildren, Tyler Slaughter, Abigall Slaughter, Kallie Lee, Lainey Lee and Kaidence Lee; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Lee; sisters, Portia Lee and Vickie Lee; brother, Jason Lee and stepbrother, Stephon Saunders.
