Michael Kendall Idleman, age 75, of St. Louisville, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). Michael was born January 7, 1945 in Newark, Ohio to the late Richard Clark and Edythe Mae (Lamp) Idleman.
Mike was a 1964 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas where he had been employed for 37 years. Mike was an avid gunsmith and enjoyed repairing and restoring guns. He was a member of the NRA and the Dillon Gun and Rifle Club. Mike also enjoyed skeet shooting, boating, working on cars and building model planes and ships.
He is survived by four children, Michael (Stacy) Idleman of Utica, Michelle Rey (Matt Howard) of Phoenix, Arizona, Kendall (Alex) Idleman and Kevin Idleman, all of Granville; grandchildren, Mackenzie Davis, Devon (Allyson) Idleman, Ethan Idleman, Madison Idleman, Macee (Mason) Lyon and Mathew Rey; great-grandchildren, Jackson Wheeland, Cade Wheeland, Beau Idleman and Landon Lyon; brother, Rick (Evelyn) Idleman of Columbus; sister, Lynda Idleman of South Dakota; several nieces and nephews; and wife in heart, Christie Idleman.
At his request, there will be no service or visitation observed.
