Michael L. "Poppy" Sides

Michael L. Poppy Sides, age 74, of Hebron, passed away at his residence on June 26, 2016 while surrounded by his family. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 6, 1941 to the late George Sides and Madge (LeClear) Hall.Michael proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Prior to retirement, he was a painter with the Painters Local Union #1275. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Isabelle (Freitas) Sides, whom he married January 3, 1963; daughters, Susan (Chuck) Roberts and Samantha Kovach; sister, Jackie Neal; grandchildren, Heather Roberts, Katelyn (Rigo) Roberts, Cody Kovach and Taylor Kovach; great grandchildren, Isabelle Cervantes and Francesca Cervantes; and numerous friends.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Michael to Foundation For Hospice of Central Ohio, PO.
