Michele Marie Tipton

A Memorial Visitation for Michele Marie Tipton, age 48, of Newark will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street in Newark. Michele was born October 20, 1973 in Zanesville, Ohio. She passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Genesis Hospital.

Michele was employed in accounting at Park National Bank in Newark. She enjoyed decorating, shopping, going to Amish Country, and vacationing at the beach. She was a supporter of the John and Matthew Hagee Ministry. She was the rock of her family and loved spending time with them.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Bradley “Brad” Tipton, whom she married April 19, 1997; three sons, Michael Shackleford of Dublin, Cole Tipton and Logan Tipton, both of Newark; mother, Elizabeth Ann (Swinehart) McElroy of Newark; sisters, Kim Bazler of Newark and Karen (Rick) Herring of Nashport; mother-in-law, Pam Lewis of Newark; father-in-law, James Alvie Tipton of South Zanesville; sisters in-law and brother-in-law, Jamie (Shawn) Wright of Perryton, Lacy (Ryan) Hill and Heather Tipton of South Zanesville, and Charma Lewis and Brandon Garcia, both of Newark; several nieces and nephews; her Golden Retrievers, Leo and Marlee; and bunny, Harlee.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Otis McElroy; and brother, John Allen McElroy.
