Mildred "Millie" Smith

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mildred Millie Smith, age 79, of Thornville, will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Jeremy Shank officiating. Burial will follow at Obetz Cemetery. Millie was born in Williamson, WV on April 17, 1938 to the late John and Lizzie (Hensley) Justice. She passed away on August 4, 2017 at Newark Hills Health and Rehab Center. Millie was a devoted homemaker to her family and was a foster parent for over 20 years. She enjoyed riding in the Thornville horse parades, where she rode western style. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida where she had many close friends. Survivors include her children, Debbie (Ed Kaufman) Gall, Brenda (Charles) Bryder, Ray Maynard, Randy (Deanna) Maynard, Arlie (Clara) Mills Jr.; sister, Flo Elswick; brother, George Justice; special friend, JR LeMaster; twelve grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, foster children, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Mac Smith; and nine brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 56 S. Main Street, Thornville, on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Millie and her family.
