Milford Gene Horton, 81, of Buckeye Lake passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on March 16, 2018. He was born in South Shore, Kentucky on January 12, 1937 to the late James and Sarah (Wright) Horton. Gene proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he was an aircraft mechanic. Prior to retirement, he was a machinist for many years. He enjoyed aviation, bowling, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his children, Fred (Dana) Dowdell, Dwayne (Darlene) Dowdell, Tim Dowdell, Angel (Larry) Dowdell and Lisa (Jason) Hefele; grandchildren, Cassaundra, Adam, Abbie, Cade and Bryn; and siblings, Lu (Frank), Carolyn (Terry), Maxine (Ken), Betty, Tom (Toni) and David (Annabelle). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Tullis) Horton; daughter, Eadie Horton; and siblings, Hack, Bud, Roy, Gary, Georgia, Nan and Phillip.
