Monty G. Howerth

A graveside service for Monty G. Buzzy Howerth, age 60, of Newark, formerly of Cambridge, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Vernon Smith officiating.Monty was born April 6, 1954 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Donald and Martha (Wilson) Howerth. He passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio).Monty was formerly employed with Snider Tire in Byesville. He enjoyed music and playing Pandora, watching Netflix and spending time with his family.He is survived by two daughters, Heather Daugherty (Corey Chase) and Erica Stillion (Jimmy Edwards), all of Cambridge; sisters, Donna Miller (Matthew Shinn) of Newark and Melanie Ross (Paul Ray) of Zanesville; grandchildren, Eddie Jirles III, Brianne Jirles, Haley Jirles, Jimmy Edwards, Jr., Brenden Moorehead, Kylie Moorehead, Tyler Edwards, Jarrett Stillion and Kirstin Dugan; great-grandson, Aiden Keith; a niece and nephews, David and Daniel Miller, Russell and Donald Ross and Debbie Stemm; and several great-nieces and great-nephews; special caregivers and friends, David Bell, Robert Moorehead, Sandy Keener, Brooke Miller and Bill Norris.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael David Howerth.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for the Howerth family.
