A graveside service for Myrtle Evelyn Cheney, age 99, of Thornville, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, at Union Grove Cemetery in Canal Winchester with Pastor Bill Havanas officiating.Mrs. Cheney was born December 24, 1916 in Canal Winchester, Ohio to the late Harry T. and Bessie (Dunlop) Dean. She passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Thornville Health and Rehab. Center.Mrs. Cheney was a homemaker and loved gardening, cats and sewing dolls. She also enjoyed participating in lunches, playing cards and going on bus trips with the Civic Club in Grove City.She is survived by two sons, Thomas C. (Susan) Cheney of Millersport and Barry D. (Florence) Cheney of Pickerington; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H.
