Nancy Louise Kerstetter

Funeral services celebrating the life of Nancy Louise Kerstetter, age 90 of Hebron, will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Heath Church of Christ, with burial to follow in the Newark Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 11:30 a.m. in the church for viewing followed by the funeral service.

Nancy was born June 4, 1932, in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. She passed away late Wednesday evening, November 16, 2022, in Newark, succumbing bravely to her final illness.

Nancy’s values were simple and obvious to anyone who knew her - service to the Lord, and service to her family and friends, in that order.

Unwavering faith was a bond shared between Nancy and her late husband, Robert, and provided great comfort to her throughout her life. Nancy was an active member of the Heath Church of Christ through her love of music and bible study. She was also a Past Matron of Eagon Chapter #123 Order of Eastern Star in Hebron, now Wroena Chapter #597.

Nancy, a lifelong homemaker, was an accomplished seamstress and took great pleasure in cooking from scratch. She was fulfilled when she shared these skills with those she loved. Her family will attest there is no substitute for Nancy’s homemade pumpkin pie, Christmas cookies, popcorn balls and caramels, which were a treasured holiday tradition.

She is survived by her loving family: her children, Robinne (Ric) Caner, Kathy (Mike) Willis, Randy (Christina) Kerstetter; her grandchildren, Adria Ruff, Kelly Neighbor, Jessica Willis, Laura Lamascola, Melissa Lohri, Brian Calandra and Erin Calandra; her 13 great grandchildren; her sister, Connie Ropka; her several nieces and nephews; and her beloved friend, Sally Keller.

Nancy believed life is precious and should not be squandered, but took solace in knowing she would be sharing the true gift of Heaven with those who preceded her in death - her adoring husband Robert, her parents and her eight siblings.
