Nancy Carol Lofink

A funeral service celebrating the life of Nancy Carol (Ruble) Walters Lofink, age 85, of Hebron, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, at Hebron New Life Church with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating. Burial will take place in Kirkersville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service at the church, 925 West Main Street in Hebron. Nancy loved hats and the family suggests that you wear a hat to the service.

Nancy was born March 12, 1939 in Carroll, Ohio to the late Judson and Marcela (Amspaugh) Ruble. She passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the Chapel Grove Inn in Heath.

Nancy was a graduate of Watkins Memorial High School and after graduation attended night classes for business while working at the William Moore Company in Newark. Nancy also worked for the Ohio Fuel Gas Company, the Newark Trust Bank, and retired from Diebold in 2001.

Following retirement, she was the founder of a local Red Hat group and was a member for nine years. Her other interests were enjoying a great group of friends in Harbor Hill and attending card club for many years. She also enjoyed singing with the Vintage Voices of Granville and being a docent for the Buckeye Lake Historical Society. She was always ready to host big family holidays at the lake house, especially Christmas Eve with all the family.

She is survived by daughter-in-law, Beth Walters; grandson, Josh (Kara) Walters; four children, Joseph P. (Lynn) Lofink, Jr., Michele “Mickey” (Ronald) Gray, Linda (Marty) Savage, and Kathleen Ryder (Richard Holness); eight additional grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Joseph P. Lofink, Sr., on March 11, 2017; a son, Scott Allen Walters, on December 16, 2019; and a brother, Judson “Junior” Ruble in 2007.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hebron New Life Church Baby Pantry.
