Nathan Andrew Byers

February 12, 1985 — January 26, 2025

Nathan died peacefully from brain cancer at home on Sunday, January 26, 2025, with his family at his side.

He was a graduate of Sheridan High School, class of 2004.

Nathan was preceded in death by his brother, Dustin Anderson; father, Frederick Anderson; his grandma, Merle Myers; grandpa, Clinton Byers; brother-in-law, Blaze Krueger; and his canine companion, Buddy.

He is survived by his mother, Rita Byers; his wife, April Byers, whom he married and created the “fairy tale life” with; his children, Jordan Goodin, Antonio Boyd, and Faith Byers; his siblings, Christopher Anderson and Clinton Anderson (Alexandria Hamilton); brothers-in-law, Michael (Nichole) Walker, Chaz (Brooke) Krueger, and Logan (Abigail) Walker; sisters-in-law, Taylor (Dominic) Reichley and Chelsey Searles (Matthew Metzger); mother-in-law, Stephanie Searles; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Shelly Walker; grandparents, Ron and Pat Walker; and loyal canine companion, Widow. Nathan was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, and had an abundance of extended family and friends, along with special friends who made his life even more full and special.

Nathan was many, many things to many people. He wore many hats. An expert welder, previously employed by Prestress in Mount Vernon, and most recently with Foxx Steel, Lancaster. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing. He loved grilling and smoking meats of all kinds and was the grill master for all occasions. If Nathan was in your life, you were blessed. He had a golden heart, was generous and as straight forward as he could be. You always knew where you stood with Nate.

Nathan was a father figure to many and stepped up to be a role model. He was a jack-of-all-trades, talented and knowledgeable in survival skills.

He was a believer, and we know he was welcomed into the arms of our Heavenly Father. He will be missed beyond words.
