Ned was born December 25, 1940 in Newark, Ohio to the late Arley and Lola (Taylor) Dean. He passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at his home.
Ned retired 1998 as shipping supervisor from Owens Corning Fiberglas where he had been employed for 36 years. Ned was a true family man and enjoyed traveling and camping with his family and spent many special times with his grandchildren. In his retirement years he became the family chef and everyone loved (and will greatly miss) his cooking and baking. Ned also enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on and refinishing old cars in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna Jean (Kinney) Dean, whom he married July 26, 1974; three daughters, Dianna J. Dean (Kathy Brittain) of Frackville, Pennsylvania, Dody Jo Ridenbaugh of Johnstown and Gina L. Elliott (Ernie) of Cumberland, Maryland; grandchildren, James Dean, Matthew Dean, Ava Dean and James Brittain Dean.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Neddie Dean and Joshua R. Dean; and a sister, Linda Dean.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio.
