Norma Hall

A funeral service celebrating the life of Norma L. Hall, age 87, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, with Rev. Gene Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens. Norma died peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 following an extended illness. She was born on December 20, 1926 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. She retired from the Newark AFB where she worked for many years as a lab technician. Norma enjoyed spending time with family, especially her kids and grandkids, and organizing and planning family reunions. She is survived by her sons, David (Pam) Hall and James (Angie) Hall, and daughter, Marilyn Messina, all of Newark; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Albert Ray Hall in 1996; along with her sons, Rick and Steve Hall, and her brothers, Lester and Roy Thornton. Her family will receive friends on Friday, August 15, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the nurses and aides at Autumn Healthcare on Forry Avenue for their compassionate and loving care.
