Norma Jean Channell

Norma Jean Channell, age 79 of Heath, passed away at her residence on July 6, 2014. She was born in Newark, Ohio on July 18, 1934 to the late Robert and Sarah Ida (Richardson) Martin.Prior to retirement, she worked for Diebold for over 15 years and was also a child care worker. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Post #85. She enjoyed collecting Heisey Glass, antiques, and was an avid Ohio State Football fan.Survivors include her two daughters, Tina Hall of Heath and Tonya (Brian) Dunlap of Thornville; son-in-law, Robert Huffman; grandchildren, Nicholas (Brandie) Huffman, Jerrod (Sara) Huffman, Brian Purks, Shelbi Hall and Shannon Hall; brother, Robert (Judy) Martin; sister, Judy Sayre; sister-in-law, Sarah Martin; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two spouses, Charles Tick Purks and Kenneth Channell; son, Todd Purks; daughter, Tammy Purks; and brother, George E.
