Norma Jean Oswald

A funeral service celebrating the life of Norma Jean Oswald, age 83, of Glenford, will be held at the Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Glenn West officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkersville Cemetery.Norma was born in Defiance, Ohio on April 30, 1934 to the late John W. and Eleanora (Yarrington) McQueary. She passed away at her residence on June 10, 2017. Norma was a member of Linwood Baptist Church, where she was in charge of the financial reports. She enjoyed gardening, flower gardening, took great pride in her home and loved spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her loving husband, Robert James Oswald; daughter, Peggy Bowles; sons, Dan Williams and Paul Williams; step-children, James (Debra) Oswald, Lora (Larry) Cochran-Besecker, Verna (Rocky) Ellis, Danny (Celia) Oswald and Dwayne (Elizabeth) Oswald; sisters, Katherine Miller and Mary Ellen Stanley; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Harry Earl Williams; step-daughter, Robin Christine Oswald; and brothers, Ralph and Paul McQueary.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Norma to Foundation For Hospice of Central Ohio.
