A funeral service, celebrating the life of Norma Jean Shock, 76, of Etna, will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, September 3, 2016 in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Rocky Brown as celebrant. Norma Jean will be buried with her Husband, Bill in the Kirkersville Cemetery.Norma Jean died suddenly Wednesday afternoon, August 31, 2016 in Columbus following surgery. She was born in Waynesburg, KY., one of 18 children born to Barrett and Sally (Leek) Singleton.She worked for many years and retired from the Fashion Bug stores. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, reading and caring for her special nephews Travis Evener, Wyatt and Dalton Caldwell.She is survived by her siblings: Kathleen Evans, Virginia Toepfert, Velma Kay Decker, Rev. Bobby Singleton and Margaret Irene Kennedy, along with many, many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and many siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband Bill in 2010, and two nieces Leda and Sheri.The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home, 285. East Main St. in Kirkersville.Memorial contributions may be directed to the Full Armor of God Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
