A funeral service, celebrating the life of Norman Romeo Castro, 79, of Newark, will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of The HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service.Norman died Saturday afternoon, January 26, 2013 in Pataskala, following a brief illness. He was born December 29, 1933 in Lewiston, Maine, the son of the late Placido and Marie Rose Castro.A career member of The US Air Force, he was stationed at over 9 bases around the globe. He served honorably during the Korean conflict and the Vietnam war. He retired in 1988.He enjoyed trains, photography and computers. He was a Roman Catholic by faith.He is survived by his loving family: His daughters Michelle (Mark) See and Rose Castro, both of Pataskala, his grandchildren Jonathon, Ashley, Jennifer and Karolynn; his great-grandchildren Joshua and Payton; brother-in-law Harold Fogg.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lena in 2009.His family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5-6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home, 285 East Main St. in Kirkersville, where an on-line guest register and video tribute are available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.comHOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, Kirkersville, is honored to care for the Castro Family.
