Owen D. Keller. 92, passed away after an extended illness on December 5, 2021 at his home. He was born in Liberty Township in 1929.
Owen was a successful farmer and business man who enjoyed all aspects of life, especially his family. Being the Valedictorian of the Class of 1946 at Millersport High School made him a proud and loyal Laker forever. He was a founding member of the Baltimore Lions Club where he served his community and was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Award. He was a member of St. Michaels UCC where he served in numerous capacities. He enjoyed nearly everything including euchre, music, golf, basketball and travel.
Owen is survived by his two children Lynne (Bruce) Dern and James (Judith) Keller as well as four grandchildren Stephanie (Mark) Brenzo, Cynthia (Philip) Eastep, Robert (Rebeccah) Dern and Alison (James) Miller. In addition, he is survived by his twelve great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, four step children numerous step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Lester (Maryland) Keller and sister Luella (Ronald) Shew and numerous nieces and nephews.
Owen was predeceased by his wife of 58 years Betty, and by his second wife of 12 years, Carol; and his parents Oliver and Sylvia Keller, two Brothers Donald and Loren Keller and two Sisters Beatrice Boltenhouse and Eileen Meeks.
The family prefers that memorials be directed to Pilot Dogs, 625 W Town Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
A private family service will be observed.
