A funeral service, celebrating the life of Pamela J. Grimes McCann, 61, of Buckeye Lake, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow at the Hebron Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, January 15, 2017, from 2 until 5 p.m, at the funeral home, 285. East Main Street in Kirkersville. Pam died Wednesday evening, January 11, 2017, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, following a brief illness. She was born in Newark, the daughter of Bert T. and Jean J. (Kern) Hawes. She was a bartender for over thirty years at the V.F.W. Post 1388 in Buckeye Lake, where she had many dear friends and special customers. In addition to being a member at the VFW Post #1388, she belonged to the Buckeye Lake Eagles and Moose lodge at Thornport. She is survived by her loving family: Siblings Christine Cheeseman, Patricia (John) Tolliver, Sandra Sainsbury, Earl Tom Hawes, Ricky D. Hawes; her uncle Wayne (Inez) Kern; former husband Marty McCann, many nieces, nephews and special friends; along with her cat Callie and her dog Lady. The family prefers that memorial contributions be directed to the Licking County Humane Society in her memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
