Pamela S. "Hummy" Mason

Pamela S. "Hummy" Mason, 73, of Newark, passed away at her residence on September 18, 2023. She was born in Newark, Ohio on October 5, 1949 to the late George and Lillian (Wheeler) Donley. Pamela was a devoted homemaker to her family. She enjoyed shopping on QVC and bowling, and her favorite time of year was during the Christmas season. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and will be missed by everyone that knew her. Survivors include her son, David Mason, Jr.; grandchildren, Noah Mason, Joshua Mason and Andrew Mason; brother, Chet “Rick” (Joyce) Nyhart; nieces and nephews, Kelly Garette, Skip Garette, Kimberly (Joe) Lohrman, Scott (Monica) Garette, Geroge (Ronna) Donley, Annamarie (Arthur) Kay, Elizabeth (Anthony) Powers, Crystal Nyhart and Jason Nyhart; great nieces and nephews, Erika Bush, Madison Snider, Johna Mansfield, Tyler Gordon, Levi Tigner, Logan Garette, Alexis Garette, Cody Paul, Shawn Garette, Andrew Garette, Cameron Garette, Kelsi Hupp, Nelson Hall and Rusty Hall; and numerous great great nieces and nephews and a host of friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Garette; brothers, Larry “Tog” Donley, John Donley, Bill Nyhart and Bill Eben; and a niece, Margie Hupp. A private graveside service, celebrating Pamela’s life will be held at a later date.
