William Richard Van Meter, 69, crossed over to his heavenly home on February 8, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Catherine, granddaughter Becky Ickes and nephew Larry Capps.He pastored Hebron Nazarene Church for 24 years. He was a kind, generous, loving and compassionate man who loved God, and always put others before himself. He loved his congregation and never felt it was a job, as he always said:I love every minute of being a pastor. His life revolved around the church.He is survived by his wife Raymona, daughters Karen (Nick) Kneice, Cheryl (Ben) Ickes, sisters Shirley Cheney, Nancy (Bill) Rathgaber, Linda (Larry) Capps, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Also survived by his mother-in-law Eva Halley, sisters-in-law Diana (Greg) Racer, Demaris (John) Higgins.He loved to play golf and on his day off (if possible) you would find him on the golf course, and was even known to play while it was snowing. He also loved singing, and most always had a smile on his face.
