Patricia A. Robinson

A funeral service celebrating the life of Patricia A. Robinson, 71, of Newark, will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, with Pastor Rusty Foley officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville St., Newark on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Patricia was born in Queens, NY on November 21, 1946 to the late Joseph Christian and Agnes (Moran) Christian. She passed away on February 28, 2018 at Licking Memorial Hospital. Patricia was a dedicated wife and mother who fiercely loved her family. She graduated with honors from The Ohio State University, with a Bachelors Degree in social work, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She was pursuing her Masters Degree with the University of Cincinnati. Patricia was passionate about her occupation, working for the Licking County Aging Program for over 10 years. She enjoyed playing cards with her group of friends, cooking and crocheting. Patricia was a selfless person with an infectious laugh, had an uplifting personality and loved spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, James Robinson, whom she married February 18, 1970; children, Diana Mathis, Donna Elaine (Brian) Leonard, James (Tom) Boyd-Robinson and Jazmyne Robinson; grandchildren, Jonathan Mathis, Corey Mathis and Nolan Leonard; close friends, Debbie Gibson, Sam Messina; and numerous nieces, nephews and other friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Ann Robinson; brothers, Joey and Ritchey Christian; sisters, Marge Heinz and Lorraine Jalbert; mother-in-law, Hattie Gildersleeve and father-in-law, Shirley Robinson.
