Patricia Ann Rodgers

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Patricia Ann Rodgers, 86, of Glenford, will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Glenford.Patricia died Sunday, October 18, 2015 in Newark following an extended illness. She was born in Perry County on June 6, 1929, the daughter of the late Rolland and Myrtle (Givens) Hammers. On July 7, 1947, she married Ernest Ray Rodgers, who preceded her in death on March 12, 2011. She was employed by A.T.& T. in Columbus for many years. She enjoyed fishing, playing scrabble and dominos. She also enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.She is survived by her loving family: Roy (Mary Jane) Rodgers of Glenford, Kathy (Joe) Barnhart of Somerset, Randy (Ellen) Rodgers of Hebron, Debbie (Sean) OReilly of Glenford; grandchildren Kim, Rhonda, Angie, Devan, Amy, Randy Jr., Velvet, Brandy, Josh and Jenny; 22 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson Grant Barnhart.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.The family prefers that memorials be directed to Tridia Hospice, 2215 CityGate Drive, Suite E, Columbus, Ohio 43219.
