Patricia A. Bauer, 80, of Pataskala, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Winchester Place in Canal Winchester. She was born on November 28, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Verner and Louise (Schmidt) Greer. She was a 1951 Graduate of Rosary High School and attended The Ohio State University. She was a member of the OSU Swan Club, Pigeon Club of South Columbus, Board member Pataskala Porpoises Swim Club, One of the founders and member of Southwest Licking Youth Baseball Moms Club, and member of Watkins Memorial High School Athletic Association. She was previously employed by D.L. Auld and the Federal Depot. Pat also enjoyed many gratifying years as a Homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.Pat did not know a stranger. When you met her, the first questions she asked were How do you spell your last name? and What are your parents names? She knew everyone or knew someone who knew them. She loved her family! She was so proud of her son and grandchildren! Just the thought of them brought a smile to her face.Pat is survived by her loving family: son, Robert L. Bauer, Jr. and former Daughter-in-law, Kimberly Bauer; grandchildren, Robert III, Drake, Brock, Brooklyn and Reis Bauer; sisters and brother-in-law, Nancy L. Miller and Susan (Phil) Lewis; nieces and nephews, Sheri and Kurt Zollinger (Josh, Jake and Hana) , Jim and Tina Miller, Joe Miller (Anthony), John and Shannon Miller (Jordan and Alexis), Michael and Julie Lewis (Alex, Vincent, Emily, and Dominic), Sara and Rocco Collura (Cecilia and Carmen) and Cousin, Michael McGreevy.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband of 58 years, Robert L. Bauer, stepmother, Dorothy A. Greer, and brother-in-law, James A. Miller.A graveside service, celebrating Pats life, will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Pataskala Cemetery, with Father Kevin Lutz officiating.The family wishes to give their sincere thanks to all at Winchester Place and VITAS Hospice for all of their care and compassion.
