Patricia Beall Chapman

A private family service will be held for Patricia Beall Chapman, age 76, of Newark, who passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.Mrs. Chapman was born on July 27, 1940 in Newark, Ohio to the late John R. and Carmen (Cosler) Beall. A 1958 graduate of Newark High School, The Christ Hospital School of Nursing and Ohio University (summa cum laude), Mrs. Chapman was the school health nurse at Newark Senior High School from 1980-2000. She also taught classes for the Childbirth Education Association of Licking County, Ohio and served on the boards of G.R.A.D.S., Family Health Services of East Central Ohio and was an advisory member of R.S.V.P. She chaired the School Health Council for several years and volunteered for the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross Bloodmobile and Disaster Services, Licking Memorial Hospital and the Community Health Clinic.She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Ohio and Licking County, The Christ College of Nursing Alumni Association, Licking County Arts, Monday Talks and the Heart of Ohio Quilt Guild.Mrs. Chapman is survived by her husband of 54 years, Laurence L. Chapman; her children and their spouses, Julie Chapman and Paul Stafford of Huson, Montana, Karen Chapman and Tom Robinson of Delaware, Alex and Christine Chapman of Westerville and Jody and Paulo Cambraia of Granville; grandchildren, Lucas and Carmen Pape, Paige and Macy Chapman, and Gustavo and Antonio Cambraia; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Judith Beall; and nieces and nephews.In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, contributions in Pats memory may be made to Doctors Without Borders, The Heifer Project, Environmental Defense Fund and the Licking County Community Health Clinic.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Pat and her family.
