A funeral service celebrating the life of Patricia I. Slagle, age 71, of Buckeye Lake, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor John Notter, Jr. officiating. Burial will take place in Wilson Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, August 22, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.Patricia was born September 27, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Oscar and Helen (Harr) Roach. She passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.Patricia was retired and had been a waitress with Shoneys in Lancaster, Elbys in Newark and the Brown Derby in Columbus. She had also been employed with the Longaberger Co. as a customer service representative. Patricia had a strong Christian faith and enjoyed crafting, gardening and was a huge pet lover. She was most proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She is survived by four children, Franklin (Coleen) Slagle, Jr. of Glenford, Montie (Linda) Slagle of Columbus, Melodie (Pastor John, Jr.) Notter Centerburg and Robbie (Marina) Slagle of Aiken, South Carolina; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brother, Denver Roach of Ashville; and sister, Betty Pack of Arizona.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Slagle, Sr. on June 18, 1998; and by a grandson, Shawn Gabriel Notter on December 24, 1987.Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Pantry at Centerburg Church of God, P.O.
