Patricia Meredith

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Patricia Jane Meredith, age 81, of Newark, will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin P. Behrer officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Patricia was born in Zanesville, Ohio on August 13, 1932 to the late Claude R. and Bonnie Mae (Lyle) Meredith. She passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She graduated from Jacksontown high School in 1950. Pat worked for many years at Roper in Newark and had also worked for the Licking County Auditor and Digman Accounting. She loved all sports and had participated in softball, basketball, bowling and golf. She was especially proud of her softball team winning the state championship in 1959. Pat was an avid reader, loved to work puzzles, play cards and dominos, and was ready to play at any time. She had many lifelong friends in her domino and card clubs. Pat will be dearly missed by her loving family and many friends. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert "Bob¿½ and Donna Meredith; nephews, David (Sonda) Meredith, Scott (Donna) Meredith; niece Barbara (Chris) Shoemaker; dear friends, Harold, Mary Jo, Susan and Danny Weekly, and Nathan Charles.
