Patricia Ann Pierce

A funeral service celebrating the life of Patricia Ann Pierce, age 84, of Newark, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, January 27, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Pat was born November 15, 1938 in Newark, Ohio to the late Washington and Anna B. (Patterson) White. She passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio).

Pat was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed scrapbooking, crafts, collecting photographs and taking pictures. She and her husband enjoyed traveling all around Ohio and together they saw all the Bicentennial barns in Ohio.

She is survived by a son, Donald “Don” Pierce (Kathryn “Kat” Smyers) of Newark; sisters, Arlene Hauck of Columbus and Kay White of California; sister-in-law, Delores White of Heath; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband James Pierce of almost 62 years, brothers, Glenn Martin White, Donald White, and Roger Dale White; and sister, Juanita Jean Matthews.
