A memorial service celebrating the life of Patricia Sue Willey, age 72, of Newark, will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, at First United Methodist Church, 88 North Fifth Street in Newark with Pastor William Koppert officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Union Cemetery, Columbus.
Patti was born March 5, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Arlo J. and Eupha A. (Hager) Little. She passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at her home.
Patti was a Speech and Language Pathologist for Northridge Local School System for many years. She was a member of the Ohio Speech and Hearing Association, AOPA, and the OSU Alumni Association. Patti enjoyed dancing, singing with the Vintage Voices in Granville, attending the Columbus Symphony, and flying with her husband in their airplane.
She is survived by two stepdaughters, Cheri (Donald) Schumacher and Lisa (Jeffrey) Bowman; grandchildren, Shawn Hendrickson, Kelsey Bowman, Seth Bowman, Emma Bowman, Hanna Wade, Rachel Wade and Arin Wade; great-grandchildren, Elaine, Ean and Eve Hendrickson; and longtime friend, Paul Carpenter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Willey; and a sister.
