Paul Eugene Glasmeier

A funeral service celebrating the life of Paul Eugene Glasmeier, age 52, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Paul was born November 1, 1966 in Newark, Ohio. He passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the home of his mother.

Paul worked in auto detailing for eight years and also was a painter. He enjoyed working on cars and bicycles and was known as the “Bike Doctor”. He loved four wheeling, riding his dune buggy, spending time outdoors in the woods and hunting. An avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes, Paul had a great sense of humor and loved to play practical jokes.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Ann (Thompson) Whyde; three children, Ashley Glasmeier, Cody Glasmeier and Cody (Sherry) Wilcox; grandchildren, Brealyn Glasmeier, Vantasia, William and Annastasia Starkey and Schanell and Elora Wilcox; sister, Ann Glasmeier; step-sister, Maria (Kevin) Farmer; step-mother, Marge Glasmeier; nieces, Danielle Faller and Shyeanne Farmer; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his special dog, Bubby.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Eugene Glasmeier; his grandparents, Herman and Hazel Glasmeier; and an uncle Keith Glasmeier.
