A funeral service celebrating the life of Paul Herbert Geiger, age 76, of Millersport, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, at the Thornville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Jon Purple officiating. Burial will take place in New Salem Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, April 6, at the funeral home, 56 South Main Street in Thornville and also from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service. Paul was born on August 15, 1941 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Herbert J. and Eloise (Baker) Geiger. He passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Pickering House Hospice in Lancaster. Paul was a 1962 graduate of Pleasantville High School where he participated in 4H and FFA. He was a seventh generation Geiger farming in Walnut Township and raising Angus cattle. Paul retired in 2003 after 37 years as a bus driver for the Millersport Lakers. He was a former volunteer 4H advisor for decades and former volunteer EMT/Firefighter for the Millersport Fire Department. He is survived by his son, Guy (Lisa) Geiger; grandson, Gavin Geiger; brother, Steve (Lynne) Geiger; cousins; and his dog, Buddy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his caregiver, Chris Rardain. Paul was very proud of his grandsons membership in FFA.
