Paul J. Annarino, Sr.

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Paul J. Annarino, Sr., 81, of Newark, will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, with Pastor Bill Wayt officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens with military honors being observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.Paul was born in Newark, Ohio on January 2, 1934 to the late Wesley and Alice (Wilson) Annarino. He passed away on September 27, 2015 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio.Paul proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After his military service, he worked for Kaiser Aluminum. Prior to retirement, he worked as a repair technician for Glicks and Rhodes Furniture for many years. He was a member of the Newark American Legion Post # 85. He enjoyed bowling, but especially enjoyed hosting and cooking Sunday meals for the entire family, where he would share stories about his military service and the Korean Conflict.Survivors include his two children, Paul Joe Annarino, Jr. and Sandra Annarino; step-children, Donna (Timothy) Sears and Julie Luckeydoo; grandchildren, Kyle Annarino, Michael Crothers, Joe (Chelsea) Messina Jr., Wendy Annarino and Mindy (Chuck Spivey) Annarino; sister, Angela (Raymond Bud) Miller; special niece, Alice Vermillion; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first spouse, Virginia Annarino; second wife, Brenda Annarino; son, Thomas Annarino; daughter, Joanne Annarino; grandson, Earl Buddy Crothers III; brother, Wesley Annarino; and sister, Betty Ann Ritchie.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Paul to Foundation For Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058-0430.Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Paul and the Annarino family.
