A service to celebrate the life of Paula Marie Farmer, age 54, of Newark, will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, with Pastor Cory Campbell officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. prior to the service. Paula was born July 9, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio to Beverly (Rogers) Howard and the late Paul W. Dillard. She passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Paula was employed as a part-time pre-school teacher and an in-home healthcare provider. Paula was a member of the Crossroads Christian Church in Marne and was a lifetime member of the VFW 1388in Millersport where she had been a member for 30 years. Paula enjoyed collecting lighthouses and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the OSU Buckeyes. She loved children, animals, camping and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her mother, Beverly, of Columbus; husband of 26 years, James M. Farmer, whom she married December 5, 1987; and by a son, James (Ashley) Farmer, and a daughter, Amber Farmer (Darian Miller), all of Newark; a brother, Phil Dillard of Galloway; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nicole L. Fawn; and a brother, David Dillard. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
