Paula Marie Stimel

Paula Marie Stimel, age 70, of Newark passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). Paula was born November 2, 1949 in Newark, Ohio to the late Charles Albert Pettibone and the late Fern Lorraine (Miller) Pettibone Newlon.

Paula was co-owner of Newlon’s Restaurant where she had been a cook for many years. She enjoyed watching TV, sewing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Steven M. Stimel (Emily Hammond); daughter, Crystal L. Stimel (Joseph Lumpkin); step-daughter, Celia JoAnne Nelson; grandchildren, Tristan Taylor, Isabella Sky Marie Stimel, Alexia Lynn Stimel, Olivia Anna Rose Stimel, Elijah Michael Ellet Stimel, Elizabeth Ann Weekley, Jimmy Nelson (Dawn Mitchell), Kenny (Lori) Nelson, Alicia Marie Siefker and Miranda LeeAnn Stimel; great-grandson, Lucas Owens; three sisters, Betty Wilson, Charlotte Hoffer and Pam Holman; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ellet Stimel I on February 26, 2004; son, Larry A. Weekley II on July 13, 2015; step-son, Roy Ellet Stimel II; four sisters, Barb Worth, Mary Swick, Alma Dudgeon and Billie Wells; and her step-father, Creed Owens Newlon.

At her request, no service or visitation will be observed.
