A homegoing service celebrating the life of Pearlie M. Moore, 86 of Newark, will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 383 Washington Street, Newark, with Reverend Dr. Michael A. Noble officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark. Pearlie was born in Newark, Ohio on February 16, 1937 to the late Edward and Annie Mae (Scott) Moore. She passed away at her granddaughter’s residence in Newark on June 7, 2023. Pearlie was a devoted homemaker to her family, and was also employed by the Heisey family for many years. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, collecting recipe books, watching soap operas, talking on the phone and listening to music. Most important in her life was the time she spent with her loving family, especially spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was loved by everyone that knew her. Survivors include her children, William E. (Melissa) Moore and Rhonda A. (Donald) Lee; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edwina McIntyre. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Pearlie and her family.
