A memorial service, celebrating the life of Philip Stevens Clark, 87, formerly of Hebron, will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2015, in the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, with Pastor Brian Harkness as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at the Kirkersville Cemetery, where Phil will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Betty, who preceded him in death on April 20, 2011.Phil was born in Thornville Ohio, on September 9, 1927, the son of the late Harry and Alice (Stevens) Clark. He was a graduate of Hebron H.S., class of 1945, he served honorably in the United States Coast Guard in the North Atlantic during World War II. Phil was an active member of the Hebron Community, where he belonged to the Hebron New Life United Methodist Church, Hebron Lodge #116, F. & A.M., Hebron Post #185, American Legion and Buckeye Lake Post of the V.F.W., where he was a life member. Phil was an active horseman throughout his life and especially enjoyed roping calves and steers and showing quarter horses.He is survived by his loving family: son Philip Vic (Libby) Clark of Shelby, daughter Dania Clark-Lempers (Jacques Lempers) of Escondido, CA., sister Diana Ours of Harbor Hills, grandchildren Adam Abeyta (Debra) of La Mesa, CA, and Angela (Brendan) Campbell and great granddaughters Fiona & Madeleine Campbell of West Hartford, CT, along with several nieces and nephews.His family will receive friends on Friday evening, March 20, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until time of memorial services at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 East Main St. in Kirkersville.Memorials in his memory may be directed to the missions committee at Ontario United Methodist Church, 3540 Park Avenue West, Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
