Phyllis I. Marriott

Phyllis I. Wood Marriott, 80, of Thornville, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Heartland Fairfield Nursing Home. She was born on December 14, 1933 in Glouster, daughter of the late James and Mabel (McClellan) Martin. Phyllis was a member of the Buckeye Lake Moose #2434. She enjoyed latch hook stitching, sewing, cross word puzzles, and watching t.v.. In her younger years, she enjoyed flower gardening and bowling.She is survived by her loving family: husband, Herb; daughters: Dianna Wood; Christina Wood Bowersox, and Barbara Wood; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren; three brothers, David (Linda); Tom (Karen); and Dan (Sue) Martin; as well as four step children; 9 step grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, sister, Nora Dunlap, and four brothers, Donald, Jim, Paul, and Wayne Martin.The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 28, 2014 at the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S. Main St., from 5 to 7 p.m. where a funeral service, Celebrating Phyllis life, will follow at 7:00 p.m..
